Analyzing and simulating batteries – findings from Fraunhofer ISE

During their work of testing and analyzing the batteries that will be used in JOSPEL, Fraunhofer ISE has discovered different operating strategies that the batteries benefit from.

For instance, different ambient temperatures and different states of charging influence how the battery is aging, so the operating strategies proposed by Fraunhofer ISE account for this and aim at keeping the batteries in state where they age as little as possible without compromising performance.

In the video below, Project Manager Maximilian Bruch M.Sc. offers insight into some of the discoveries that Fraunhofer Institute have made during their battery analyses and simulations in the JOSPEL project so far.
