JOSPEL presented at the EVER 2017 conference in Monaco

Last week from April 11th–13th, the fourth EVER 2017 conference took place at the Grimaldi Forum in Monaco. JOSPEL participated actively in the conference and gave four presentations about the innovative approaches and technologies used in the project.

For more than twenty years, the Principality of Monaco has been a front runner in the electric vehicle and new energy sector – and they have contributed to the rapid growth of these industries by investing in infrastructure and EV fleets and by promoting the development of clean transportation. The EVER Monaco 2017 conference marked this movement with three days of scientific lectures, networking and roundtable sessions that brought together key figures from the world of sustainable development and with a public audience that had an interest in this area.

At the conference, JOSPEL partners gave four presentations that represented some of the key areas in the project:

  • A Low Energy Heating System Based on Joule Effect by Vanessa Gutiérrez Aragonés from AIMPLAS
  • From Cell to System: Battery System design by Maximilian Bruch, M.Sc. from Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems ISE
  • Real time energy efficiency optimization in connected electrical vehicles by Juan Rico from Atos Research and Innovation
  • Heat generation measurement of battery cells at different operating conditions by Maximilian Bruch, M.Sc. from Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems ISE

The presentations led to several interested questions from the audience, e.g. about the cybersecurity of the remote monitoring system implemented, power consumption objectives, and additional measurements conducted to investigate the battery behavior.
